As part of the 2021-2022 Playground Renewals for the City of Wanneroo, Playmaster were awarded 5 playgrounds.
At Chesterfield Park, Playmaster were required to design, supply and install mixed age combination units, a combination Bird's nest and double swing, two spring rockers, music and interactive panels. With the help of local sub-contractors, Playmaster also created a larger pit with a new limestone wall (Al's Limestone), dual sand and rubber soft fall (Retech Rubber) and eye-catching new shade posts cover (West Coast Shade).
Playmaster also engaged a local artist, Jade Dolman, to design an Indigenous artwork on a jarrah log inlaid in the wall. Jade's design showed the journey of the local Firewood Banksia (Banksia menziesii) from seed to flower to fruit and back to seed. The end result was a dynamic new playground intrinsically linked to the area through the tactile, original Indigenous artwork.
